Description
The North West Range of the stables at Home Farm, Strachur House, dates from the later 18th century and is designed in an L-plan layout with one storey and a loft. The building is constructed of rubble and features gabled ends with a slated roof that is partly piended. It has high round arches and includes a detached square barn.
The stables and kennels are arranged in four arms around a central yard. This section also consists of one storey and a garret, built from rubble with slated roofs. The central pavilion on the east side has an elliptical arch and an oculus, while the central pavilion on the north side features an oval oculus and an octagonal timber cupola.
