Description

Careston Parish Church is a small T-plan building constructed of rubble and slate, dated 1636. It features an elevated lairds loft supported by carved oak columns and an entablature. The church was remodeled in 1808, as indicated by the date on the corner dial, and again in 1905 when a porch was added. The architect for the church was Wishart Galloway. Additionally, there is a mort bell inscribed with "AF.1756.CF."
