Description
The gatelodge at Balintore Castle was built in 1860 by William Burn. It consists of a pair of small octagonal lodges made from rubble with parapets and round-arched windows. These lodges flank a pair of square gatepiers that are topped with stepped pyramids and ball finials. There are short flanking walls extending from the lodges, which end in piers that have a design similar to the gatepiers.
