Description

The entrance gates at Carsegownie feature square classic piers made of V-jointed ashlar, topped with ball finials that are mounted on sculptured bases. The piers are inscribed with the initials M.O. and G.C. These elements date from the late 17th century or early 18th century. The flank walls and gates were added around 1840.
