Description

Home Farm, built around 1835 in the style of Archibald Simpson, is a quadrangular farmstead with a prominent square dovecot tower at the rear. A large, pedimented gateway with a semi-elliptical arch is flanked by a four-window screen wall, which connects to two-storey wings incorporating broad, eaved roofs. The front elevation features a two-window arrangement, with windows set within tall recesses, and lattice glazing to the first floor. The walls are harled with margins. The farmstead’s settlements and field systems are part of a Scheduled Monument. The statutory address is Wardhouse Home Farm.
