Description

St Fergus Parish Church, rebuilt by James Matthews in 1868-1869, retains its bellcote from 1644. The church underwent alterations in 1898 and features a date on the east gable.

The building is designed in a plain Gothic style and has a T-plan layout. It is harled with grey granite margins and includes west and south porches that are re-entrant. The bellcote has triangular pediments on the east and west faces, and semi-circular pediments on the north and south faces, which bear inscriptions. The church houses an Abernethy bell from 1836.
