Description

The Mill of Mondynes is an 18th-century mill, altered subsequently, with a rebuilt kiln roof in 1912. The structure is L-shaped, built of rubble with a slated roof, piended at the kiln end and with a straight skew at the other. Only the axle remains of the water wheel, which originally had a diameter of 10 feet 6 inches and was 2 feet 6 inches wide. Two pairs of stones were present. The building is referenced in Hume's The Industrial Archaeology of Scotland on page 224.
