Description
The dovecot, dating from 1804, is an early 19th-century rectangular structure located at Disblair, near St Meddans. It is built of stone with a saddle-backed, slated roof. The dovecot is approximately two storeys high and three windows wide. It originally contained 286 nests, though it is now in poor repair. The construction incorporates granite. A two-bay window is present, along with a rear wing. Niven Robertson’s work, "Old Dovecots,” provides further details.
