Description
Littlemill of Esslemont is a 19th-century L-plan mill building. It has three storeys and four windows, with a kiln projecting at right angles to one side. The exterior is constructed of coursed granite rubble, with harl pointing. The inner structure of the kiln is brick, featuring a slatted vent. A cast iron framed 14-foot overshot water wheel remains in good working order. Further details are documented by Godsman in Ellon.
