Description
The former woollen factory, now known as the Garlogie Village Hall, was built in 1931. It is constructed from plain rubble and features a gablet with a lunette tripartite. Although the main building is not considered of special interest, it includes an engine house at the rear. This engine house contains a beam engine dating from around 1830, which is supported by a central Greek Doric column. The beam measures approximately 20 feet, and there is a 16-foot flywheel. Additionally, there is a water turbine made by Escher Wyss et cie from 1923, which is currently disused.
