Description
Mill of Culsh is an early 19th century, two-storey, four-bay former mill built in squared and snecked granite rubble.
The west elevation features a three-bay main block with irregular window placement. There is a timber boarded door in the center, topped by a letterbox fanlight, and squat rectangular windows on the upper floor. An additional bay is attached to the left.
On the east elevation, there is an advanced gabled bay to the left, with a forestair leading to an upper storey entrance on the right return. The bays to the right also have irregular window placements.
The north elevation shows a gable end with a small window on the ground floor to the left and a large window in the center of the upper storey.
The south elevation has a gable end with a single window on the ground floor to the right and a tall rectangular window in the center of the upper storey, flanked by smaller rectangular windows.
The roof is covered with grey slates and has a pantile ridge, with a flue from a drying kiln at the center. There are modern roof lights and coped skews at the gable ends. The interior has undergone a modern renovation scheme.
