Description

Allach Bridge, located at Aboyne Castle, was built in 1787. It is a triple span bridge with segmental arches made of coursed grey granite. The bridge features a slightly recessed arch panel with a finely finished arch ring and a tool-marked datestone that reads "EA 1787." It has a dentil moulded entablature and a flat-coped parapet that sweeps down to the east and west. The wing walls are slightly splayed and have plinths designed for spherical caps.
