Description

Invermore House is a large, two-storey house built between 1840 and 1859. Originally appearing on the Ordnance Survey map of 1859, it was de-listed on 11th February 1986. The house has undergone substantial alterations and is now considered to be of no significant architectural or historic interest.

The house was initially constructed with roughcast walls, rusticated quoins, a slated roof, and timber sash windows. However, extensive modernisation has removed many original features. The original panelled door, complete with sidelights set within a recessed segmental-arched opening, has been replaced by a modern doorway set in a rectangular opening. Modern PVC rainwater goods are also a feature. The house now sits within a cul-de-sac of more recent housing.
