Description
The Lower Woodburn Bridge is a two-span road bridge carrying Belfast Road over the Woodburn River. It is constructed of random rubble basalt, with segmental-headed arches featuring blue brick voussoirs. The piers of the bridge are distinguished by semi-circular cutwaters. Originally not listed during the first survey, the bridge has been widened with a concrete structure and additional cutwaters, which now obscure much of the original construction. It was not considered of listable quality and is recorded as a documentary item only.
