Description
The Warehouse Buildings at 12-16 Derry Road, Strabane, consist of a collection of multi-bay former mill buildings constructed between 1820 and 1980. The majority of the buildings date from around 1900. They have cement-rendered facades, steel windows, timber-sheeted loading bays, and replacement roofing materials. At the northern end of the site, behind the street-facing facades, stands a tall redbrick chimneystack. An external inspection revealed little of historic or architectural merit, and no interior access was possible. While a few buildings may originally date to the 19th century, the cementitious render, replacement windows, and replacement roofs have obscured their original appearance. The tall chimneystack may be of some historic interest. The buildings are not listed and were not considered of sufficient interest to warrant a full survey.
