Description
The Strabane Canal Basin, located on Dock Street and Canal Street in Strabane, County Tyrone, represents the remains of a waterway originally intended to link Strabane Town with the River Foyle. During surveys, it was found that very little of the original basin survives. The area has been in-filled and subsequently redeveloped with small industrial units and car parking. The site was initially surveyed but not listed, and a partial survey was taken during a later assessment due to a lack of significant architectural or historical interest.
