Description

Detached two-bay single-storey direct-entry vernacular dwelling, built c.1860, located to the north side of Corgary Road. Direct-entry rectangular plan with windbreak porch to north; bed outshot to south. Roof is pitched corrugated metal with rendered stone chimneys. Walls are painted rubble. Windows are replacement square-headed timber framed casements with painted masonry sills. Principal elevation faces east; left bay contains single window; right bay contains, at left, canted windbreak porch with cat-slide roof containing replacement timber sheeted door, flanked at right by single window. North gable is abutted by additional bay acting as shed; double-leaf vertically-sheeted timber doors; further abutted by lower byre (partially rebuilt gable). West elevation is abutted at right by bed outshot containing single 2/2 sliding sash window; exposed section at left is blank. South is blank. Single-storey gabled rubble stable to north-east with vertically-sheeted timber doors to north gable (partially rebuilt); recent corrugated metal farm buildings to yard at north. Site bounded to road at north by rubble walling surmounted by timber fence; access though farm gate. Roof: Pitched corrugated metal Walling: Painted rubble stone Windows: Timber casements RWG: None
