Dry Closet, Holly Park, 37 Holly Park Road, Ballymacreelly, Killinchy, Newtownards, Co Down, BT23 6SN

This is an uncommon, simple dry closet built of rubble stone, its age currently undetermined. It possesses group value with Holly Park house. The dry closet is located at the edge of a wood to the rear (north) of Holly Park house, to the west of Holly Park Road, approximately one mile southwest of the village of Killinchy. It measures approximately 3.5 metres by 2 metres and has a gabled roof covered in Bangor blue slate. A timber-sheeted door is set into the north facade, and a crude pointed arch window with brick dressings and a recently installed frame (without glass) is in the east gable. Holly Park house likely dates from the 18th century, but this dry closet does not appear on Ordnance Survey maps from the 1830s, 1860s or 1921, making it impossible to precisely determine its age. The building's fabric would require expert analysis to establish its date, as it could be either as old as Holly Park house or more recent. The former and current use of the building is as a closet. A possible date range for construction is 1820-1839.
