Description
This is a substantial, seven-storey red brick flax spinning mill and associated buildings. The site originally housed Grimshaw’s cotton mill, constructed in the early 1800s. The original mill was demolished, and the adjoining mill ponds have been infilled. The site is currently undergoing redevelopment for use as warehouse-type retail outlets.
