Description
This is a former mid-19th century water-powered beetling mill, now converted into a residence, situated on the left bank of the Doagh River. The building originally comprised three distinct sections: a northern section which served as accommodation for the beetler, a central projecting section that housed an 8ft by 24ft waterwheel, and a southern section containing ten beetling engines. The roof has been reslated, and a chimney has been added. All original openings have been altered and now feature uPVC frames, and the interior has been completely reconfigured. This record was initially associated with the incorrect ward, HB21/02/013.
