Former Mill House at Ballywee Corn Mill, Hollybank Road, Doagh, Ballyclare, Co Antrim

The former Mill House at Ballywee Corn Mill is a two-storey, gabled stone building located on Hollybank Road, Doagh, Ballyclare, Co Antrim. Constructed of basalt rubble with red brick dressings around the openings, the building is now derelict and of limited architectural or historic interest. It was likely built between 1820 and 1839, with the eastern half appearing on an Ordnance Survey map from 1832, later being extended. Originally built as a house associated with Ballywee Corn Mill (HB20/06/014A), it served as a dwelling until the 1960s. Subsequently, it was used as an agricultural store before falling into disrepair. The building features rectangular timber ledged doorways with wooden lintels, a short flight of exterior steps leading to the east gable doorway, and formerly rectangular timber, sashed windows with horns, all now derelict. There were originally two chimneys, one on the west gable, but these are now missing. The building occupies a corner site within the grounds of Ballywee Corn Mill, with its south face and east gable facing directly onto public roads, set back by a narrow grass verge.
