Description

The rear boundary wall to the Town Hall in Wells was built around 1907, possibly incorporating elements from the main building campaign of 1799. Constructed from rubble, the wall rises to approximately 4 meters and spans the entire width of the site on its south side, featuring a set-back of about 2 meters in plan. It continues along the full length of the west side, connecting to the rear of the main Town Hall structure. This wall is significant not only for defining the site but also as a prominent visual feature of the open paved area to the south.
