Description

The Old Post House is a house dating from the mid-to-late 18th century, with a 19th-century addition and 20th-century restoration. It is constructed of coursed rubble with limestone quoins, and has a pantile roof. The main block is two storeys high and comprises two bays, with a one-bay addition to the right. The central entrance has a 6-panel door with a 5-pane overlight, set within a cambered head. Throughout the original block, there are 20-pane sash windows in flush-wood architraves, each with a sawn stone lintel. Single-flue brick stacks are located at the ends of the original block, and a two-flue stack is situated far to the right. A house attached to the rear, designated as number 26, is not part of the listed building.
