Description

The Statue of Sir Mathew Wilson is a monument located on High Street. It commemorates Sir Mathew Wilson, who was the first Member of Parliament for Skipton from 1885 to 1886. The statue features a square sandstone plinth with a moulded base and cornice, which supports a standing stone figure created by A Bruce Joy in 1888.
