Description
Nos. 1 and 3 Bridge Street, formerly known as the King's Head Hotel, is an early 19th-century building constructed from red sandstone with quoins. No. 1 is two storeys tall and features three sash windows on the upper floor, along with one new window below. No. 3, the King's Head, is three storeys high and has two string courses, a tethering ring on the wall, and an eaves cornice. It includes a central doorway with a moulded architrave and cornice, four sash windows on the ground floor, and five on the upper floors, although the glazing bars have been removed. The portion to the left, which was once used as coach houses and similar functions, has a wide depressed arch, a segmental arched doorway, a three-light sash window below, and a single sash window above.
