Description

No. 11 Doomgate is a building from the 17th to 18th century that was once a smithy. It is constructed of pebbledashed stone rubble and features stone chimneys on a slate roof. The building has two storeys, with a boarded door and a glazed and panelled door on the ground floor, along with two sash windows. Above, there are four additional sash windows. In front of the building, there is a circular stone, likely covering a former well, as wells in Doomgate are mentioned in a document from 1714.
