Description
Waverley House and the adjoining barn are a farmhouse and barn built in the early 19th century. The building features Flemish bond brickwork with pale headers and a graduated greenslate roof, along with end brick chimney stacks and some rendered sections. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with the lower two-storey barn being an integral part of the farmhouse. The front entrance includes a six-panel door with a patterned fanlight set in a segment-headed surround with a false keystone. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, positioned under flat brick arches. The right end wall has slate hanging. The barn on the left has a blank wall, while the rear features a plank door in a plain stone surround and sash windows with glazing bars. There are also blocked entrances on the left and above, both in plain stone surrounds. A porch at the rear of the farmhouse, along with a car port and outbuildings, are not considered of interest.
