Description

This is a row of six late Georgian houses, numbers 1 to 6, built in 1814. The houses are constructed of stucco, with a rusticated finish to the ground floor. They feature a prominent cornice and parapet, and decorative urns are positioned at each end of the terrace. Each house has two storeys. The front of each house is characterised by an Ionic porch with a decorative frieze and cornice. The ground floor has a single sash window, and the two floors above each contain two sash windows. The original glazing bars have been removed from these windows. The group value of these buildings lies in their contribution to the architectural character of Hamilton Terrace.
