Description

Chapel House, located on Egremont Road in Hensingham, dates from the mid-18th century. The building is pebbledashed and features a mix of new and old slate on its roof. It stands two storeys high and has two three-light sash windows on the upper floor. The front facade includes a modern glazed verandah. At the rear, which faces the road, there is a long round-headed stair window in the middle with Gothic glazing, flanked by two 12-paned sash windows on each floor; the lower windows have louvred shutters. Additionally, there is a lower wing to the south that has a lean-to doorway.
