Description

28 High Street is a building that was once known as the Cherry Tree and also the Sun Inn. Its core likely dates back to the 17th century, while the front was added in the early 19th century. The building is three stories high and constructed of cream-painted brick on ancient coursed rubble, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The ground floor features two bay windows and is stuccoed with rusticated quoins, along with a hood supported by scroll brackets above a moulded doorframe. The first floor has two sash windows set in heavy moulded and painted stone frames. The ground floor has been altered to a plain modern shop front and lacks a cornice.
