Description
The Rectory, built around 1758 with additions made in 1777, is a two-storey building with attics constructed of red brick. It features a floor band and stone quoins. The façade includes five sash windows set beneath flat arches and a glazed porch. The west wing is made of coursed rubble and has a stone slate roof with stone-coped side gables. There is a low brick connecting wing topped with a castellated parapet. The Rectory was originally built for the Reverend James Henney, who authored "Meditations among the Tombs," with later additions made for the Reverend Robert Knight.
