Description

Tansor Wold Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and brick, with a Collyweston slate and thatched roof. Originally planned with three units, it is two storeys high with an attic. The front has a three-window range of large 19th-century casement windows in original openings, each set beneath gauged stone heads with keyblocks. A 20th-century door is located to the left of centre, with a gabled hood above it, and 20th-century French doors are situated to the right of centre, also under gauged stone heads. Three gabled roof dormers are present. The gables have ashlar parapets and kneelers, and there are ashlar stacks at the ridge and ends of the building. 19th-century extensions are visible at the rear. The interior was noted to contain an open fireplace with a bressumer, although it has not been inspected.
