Description

A late 18th-century building of three storeys on Chapel Street. It is constructed of red brick with flat-panelled eaves supported by paired cut brackets and has a hipped roof covered in old tiles. The front facade originally had three windows on the upper floors, though this has been altered with the insertion of a modern bow window, in keeping with the original style, for a shop. A six-panel door is located on the right-hand side, surmounted by a rectangular wrought iron fanlight with a radiating pattern, scrollwork, and cast lead decoration. The doorcase features panelled pilasters, double scroll brackets, and a thin, flat hood. A brass lion and wreath knocker is affixed to the door.
