Description
The barn and stables adjacent to the northeast and east of Cobblers Hill Farmhouse date from the mid-18th century and early 19th century. The barn features a timber frame and weatherboard construction with a brick plinth and an old tile roof. It has four bays, with the second bay serving as a cart entry to the farmyard. There are two single board doors, one located in a gabled eaves-line dormer, and blocked dovecote openings in the upper right section. The left bays at the rear have double board doors. Inside, the barn has curved queen post trusses with later upper and lower purlins supported by raking posts, along with curved braces to the tie beams and shaped jowls. The stables are one storey with timber frame and weatherboard walls facing the yard, while the rear is constructed of flint and brick. The stables also consist of four bays.
