Description
The barn located to the north-east of Castleman's Farmhouse dates from the 18th century. It features a timber-framed structure with brick and weather-boarded walls, topped by an old tile roof. The barn is designed with five bays and a single aisle. The central entrance on the east side has a hipped roof and is flanked by boarded cheeks and doors. To the left of the entrance, there is a 2-light casement window and a later lean-to addition. Inside, the barn has a double purlin roof with moulded jowls on the posts, queen posts, and upper angle posts supporting the trusses. The east end bay appears to be a later addition.
