Description

Rosemount is a former pair of cottages, now combined into a single dwelling, located at a right angle to the road, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed rubble stone with timber lintels over the openings, and has a thatched roof. The 17th-century cottage is on the right-hand side of the south front and features a central stone stack. It has one-and-a-half storeys and two bays, with leaded casements on the ground floor – a three-light window to the left and a two-light window to the right - and a pair of 19th-century casements within the thatch. A central door is now protected by a modern gabled porch. The 18th-century cottage is to the left and includes a brick stack to the left gable. It presents two storeys, with the upper floor slightly set into the thatch. It has three bays: three-light casements on the ground floor in the outer bays, with a leaded window on the right, and paired 19th-century casements on the first floor in the two right-hand bays, which are leaded. A central door has six glazed panels. A modern extension is present to the rear.
