Description

Red Lion Cottages, comprising Nos 2 and 3, are a 17th-century timber-framed house originally of two bays and two storeys. The house has been subdivided and refronted at various times. Each cottage now occupies one bay with a door on the left-hand side. A large chimney stack is positioned on the right. Timber framing is visible on the east gable. The windows are horizontal sliding sashes set within brick arches. The upper floor of No 3 is gabled and features casement windows, while the upper storey of No 2 has been raised. The roofs are covered with old tiles. No 3 has an 18th-century brick facade, while No 2 displays a 19th-century brick facade with grey headers.
