Description
Denham Court Farmhouse Barn, located to the north-east of the farmhouse, dates from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features a timber-framed structure that is weather-boarded, with a slate roof that is half hipped at one end and sits on a cement plinth. The barn consists of nine bays and is double aisled. The western 4½ bays are from the 17th century and include massive Queen post collar and tie beam trusses, with arched braces to the tie beams and some wind bracing in the roof. An inserted floor is present. The eastern end bays are of lighter construction, featuring tie beam and collar trusses with bracing to the tie beam and plate. The eastern end is hipped and extends south by one bay.
