Description
Number 16 consists of outbuildings located to the rear of the Crown Hotel, dating from the 17th to 19th centuries. These buildings form three sides of a courtyard and are primarily timber framed with brick infill and refronting. The Tudor Room on the east features a tiled roof and a weatherboarded gable above the central entrance. It has a five-light casement window on the right, along with a door and two modern windows on the left. The south gable displays exposed timber framing. To the west is a bin store building with a tiled roof and a well-constructed timber roof structure. A 19th-century brick garage block connects the Tudor Room and the bin store, featuring a slate roof and a carriageway beneath. This group of buildings is included for its group value.
