Description
West Farmhouse is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a grey slate roof and stands two storeys high, featuring a three by two bay layout. The building has projecting long and short quoins. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with an overlight, set within a plain surround, supported by consoles that hold a deep cornice. On either side of the door are tripartite windows, each with a central sash that has glazing bars and flanked by 8-pane sidelights. The first floor has three 16-pane sash windows, all framed in plain stone surrounds. The roof is hipped, and there are ashlar stacks at the ends. On the left side, the right bay has blind windows, while the left bay features a four-pane sash window with a 20th-century window above, both in plain stone surrounds.
