Description

Catsland Farmhouse is a late 16th or early 17th century farmhouse. It is timber-framed and tile-hung on its upper levels, with brickwork at the base on the south side, painted brick with some exposed timber to the east, and a mix of painted brick, random Wealden sandstone rubble, flint and brick to the west. A lean-to extension is present to the north, with exposed timber in the gable. The roof is a combination of plain tiles and Horsham stone slabs, hipped to the south, with side stacks located to the north and south. The farmhouse is two storeys high with an irregular layout of windows on the south side, consisting of one window on the first floor to the right, and two windows on the ground floor towards the centre and right. The windows are a mix of casements and sliding sashes. A door is positioned off-centre to the right on the south side.
