Description
Upper North Park Farmhouse is a 17th century house, possibly linked to the North Park furnace mentioned in 1653. The building is timber-framed, with the timbering exposed at the back and plaster infilling. The front is refaced with Wealden sandstone rubble, and the first floor is tile-hung. It features a small pediment at the front and a hipped tiled roof with a pentice at the back. The rear has three projections, two of which are hipped. The windows are casement style with stone mullions, some of which have old leaded panes. The house has two storeys and an attic, with four windows in total. Inside, there is a queen post roof and a 17th century staircase.
