Description
Woodmans Cottage is an estate cottage from the early 19th century, formerly numbered 13 on the Minsted estate. It is constructed of ironstone blocks with brick dressings and features a hipped slate roof along with two brick chimneystacks. The cottage is a single storey with two unusual windows that have cambered heads and shutters. These windows consist of sliding sashes for both the bottom and top opening lights above, which include small panes of old glass. The cottage also has a gabled rustic weather porch and an arched doorcase. There are integral outshuts to both the left and right sides of the building. Other windows are three-light sliding sashes. Inside, the cottage contains three plank doors dating from around 1830 to 1840 and rustic poles in the rear outshut.
