Description

These cottages, known as April Cottage, Bay Tree Cottage, Cobblers Cottage and Lantern Cottage, form a single L-shaped building. The core of the structure dates back to the 17th century or earlier and originally had a timber frame with plaster or painted brick infill. The upper floor features curved braces and oversails supported by brackets. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled. Casement windows are present throughout. The building has two storeys and six windows. The south-west wing, known as Lantern Cottage, was likely added in the 18th century and has a facade of red brick and tile-hanging.
