Description

The ruins of the Vandalian Tower are an ornamental tower designed by Henry Keene for Sir Matthew Fetherstonhaugh around 1770. Originally built on a hill north of the house as a landmark, only parts of the ground floor now remain. The tower has a triangular plan with bastions at the corners and is constructed of red brick, featuring pointed windows. It is said that the Hellfire Club met here.
