Description
Houghton House is an L-shaped building located on the south side of The Street, facing the road, with an additional L-wing to the southeast. The northeast wing dates from the 18th century, while the west wing is from the early 19th century and is of a higher elevation. The building has two storeys and features four windows. It is constructed with square knapped flints and red brick, with decorative elements including dressings, quoins, a flush stringcourse, and a modillion eaves cornice. The roof is tiled, and the glazing bars are intact. The entrance has a doorway with engaged columns, a modillioned pediment, and a door made up of six moulded and fielded panels.
