Description

This is a house, composed of two sections. It likely began as a 16th-century timber-framed building, probably of a Wealden type. The building is two stories high and has three windows. A recessed central section is supported by diagonal braces extending to the eaves. The western portion features a first floor that overhangs on brackets with curved braces, and a small bay has been built out on the ground floor below. To the east of the recess, there's a small bay on both floors. A tall 19th-century gable is topped by a tripartite sash window without glazing bars. The ground floor has been partly underbuilt; however, a carriage archway passes through the building’s western end. This archway is spanned by a beam with one upright support and two curved braces supporting the storey above. A doorway is surmounted by a flat hood. The roof is tiled. Most of the windows are casement windows.
