Description
The Parish Church of St Margaret is a Grade I listed Church of England building located on the north side of West Street in Ditchling. This cruciform structure features a central tower topped with a broached shingled spire. The chancel includes a south chapel, while the nave has both a south chapel and a porch. The nave dates back to the pre-Conquest period, although its north wall was rebuilt in 1863. The south aisle is from the 12th century, and the remainder of the church is from the 13th century, with the north transept also rebuilt in 1863. The south porch is from the 15th century.
