Description

Numbers 16, 17, and 18 Compton are a row of cottages built in 1875. They are constructed of flint with red brick dressings, quoins, and a flush stringcourse. The cottages feature a half-hipped tiled roof with red brick stacks and are two storeys high, with six windows. The windows are cambered casements with lattice panes, and the doors are located under penticed weatherporches. A stone on the building displays the date 1875 along with the inscription "Peace be within these walls."
