Description

The terrace walling at Borden Wood House dates from around 1887. It consists of a snecked Wealden sandstone wall topped with ashlar coping. There are two ashlar piers featuring moulded cornices and ball finials, which are connected by stone steps to a stone walkway that has ashlar balustrading. This area includes a splayed snecked stone rubble feature that contains a seat supported by four rusticated ashlar piers. Additionally, there is a section of curved balustrading that leads to a brick wall with stone coping.
